You may be wondering why I am blogging on a Friday afternoon (if you're not, that's okay, too). It's only natural to as I (and so many other Jews) are rather busy, especially in the winter with shabbas being early. Especially since I usually like to lift weights, but more significantly, I jog. Shabbas just doesn't have the same קדושה (holiness) to it when I don't jog.
Since my left knee has gone bad on me, my running/jogging has stopped (for good reason), as well as any thoughts of playing basketball on Saturday nights or any other time. However, I am able to walk (ברוך השם thank God), and now, I can do it without a knee brace, for the most part.
Nevertheless, I am not jogging, which is bad for not only my cardiovascular health, nor just the physiological positive feeling which comes along with jogging, but also for weight purposes and being in shape. Whenever this knee thing finally really heals, I will have a lot of work cut out for me in trying to get back into shape or some sense of health.
Okay, now it's back to getting ready for shabbas - שבת שלום, Shabbat shalom.

don't worry, drew- a few days of rest won't be so bad for you. Look on the bright side- at least you'll be well rested!
A few days of rest isn't so bad, but it's already been a week and a half, which is surely going to be continuing - that probably isn't going to be so good.
true, true. how much longer until you're fully recovered?
At this rate, never. However, I did wake up this morning with my knee fairly fine and only early this afternoon did it show some signs of not being perfect.
Once I get some health insurance, I'm probably going to head to a doctor to get it checked out. I'm just waiting on my application to be accepted for health insurance.
Here's a topic for inquiry: how will you treat this injury vis-a-vis your insurance's preexisting condition exclusion?
Refuah Shleimah!
